The vibrant food culture and local produce will certainly whet anyone’s palate and all within walking distance of the hotel.

Overnight in Launceston

Begin your day with a peaceful stroll through the verdant Launceston City Park, a lush green haven that has been a cultural jewel since the 1820s. Here, the vibrant hues of manicured gardens blend harmoniously with the rich history of the city. Feel the tranquility of the emerald lawns underfoot, and marvel at the delicate shades of seasonal blooms that paint this historic park. Don’t miss the Japanese macaque exhibit, where the playful red and brown fur of the monkeys, a gift from Launceston's sister city of Ikeda, stands out against the verdant backdrop of the park's greenery.

Next, take a short drive to the awe-inspiring Cataract Gorge, where nature’s palette of colors comes alive. As you explore the rugged cliffs and winding river, you'll be surrounded by the deep greens of towering trees and the earthy tones of the rocky gorge. For an unforgettable perspective, soar above it all on the Scenic Chairlift, where the vibrant blue of the river and the rich tapestry of the forest beneath you create a breathtaking aerial vista.

After soaking in Launceston’s natural beauty, venture north to the pristine shores of Binalong Bay, nestled within the iconic Bay of Fires. Here, the landscape dazzles with the stark contrast of crystal-clear turquoise waters lapping against bright orange lichen-covered boulders. The rocky coastline, painted in fiery hues, glows under the sunlight, creating a picture-perfect scene that will leave you in awe of Tasmania’s coastal splendor.
